Tip Toe Thru the Tulips

On April 12th, 2014, we went to our first Tulip Festival, near Mt. Vernon. We left around 8;30 and headed west across Stevens Pass and immediately noticed traffic backups on I-5 approaching Mt. Vernon. We ate lunch at Arbys and the traffic got even worse on county roads- but we finally arrived at Tulip Town Farms and although there were lots of people, it was spread out and no more waiting. There was a 5.00 entry fee but a tremendous photo opportunity and lots of fun. I would encourage you to visit a Tulip Farm soon, you may wish to avoid the weekends for crowds/traffic. The tulip festival started in 1984 and normally is the month of April, although the peak dates may vary. I added some photos to the Tiny Tim Song called Tip Toe Thru the Tulips. Tiny Tim sang this song back in 1968.

Q: What kind of flower grows on your face?
A: Tulips!

What do you get when you plant kisses?
Tulips!

What did the bride say when she dropped her bouquet?
Whoopsy daisies!
