Working 9-5

I was saddened to hear our former WSDOT District Administrator Don Senn passed away last weekend. He retired a few years ago, and lost a battle to cancer. Don never thought he was too good not to talk to anyone at DOT and always would stop and visit and listen when he could. He set a good example, was tremendous leader in our community and at work, and actually started working over the striping crew when he started his career at WSDOT. I have worked for WSDOT since 1992 and they truly are a great bunch of people to work with-I just don't tell them that enough. When people ask, when I will retire?; I ask why or I don’t know? We have had a few retire, a few quit, a few transfer, and even a few die of natural causes since I made this video several years ago, when Dwayne Standerford retired. It has photos of many of my co-workers and This video reminds me of what a great team I work with every day and to count my blessings again. It also reminds me to thank those around me while they are still living.
Being diplomatic is telling your boss he has an open mind instead of telling him he has a hole in his head.
