Happy Hawaii

I don't know if a vacation is more fun or if getting home is?  We arrived home to beautiful weather- almost hotter than we had in Hawaii. The Yard looked nice, the neighbors painted their house, and we sorted out the mail already. The Cat is warming up to us after being gone so long and we are waiting to get a call- to pick up our birds. Thanks to Emilee for watching our cat, for Karen for watching our birds, Journey Travel for booking a fun trip, Princess Cruises for our first cruise with you and for all you did, including our Anniversary Celebration. It was so much more fun traveling with Dave/Jeanette Owens and Mark and Maureen Johnson.  Here is a video of the trip I made several days ago. Thanks to our employers for giving us time off- we had fun. And yes, Thanks to Janice Hendricks for sticking with me for 42 years. Not it is time to start saving for a Panama Canal trip on our 50th Anniversary.

Look For Me At Jesus' Feet

Bob Adams is home- I miss him. Bob was a hero to me that I looked up to.  He served on EW planning commission, ran for Douglas county commissioner, was active in Home Builders Association, the EW chamber, and was one of the best concrete finishers. We served on the Church board together and went on a Costa Rica Missions Trip together. I could always depend on him and trust him- his faith never waivered- he never let me down. I sat under his teaching. He lived what he believed. You could see he loved his wife, daughters and our church. We ate many meals together at Eastmont Lanes, Country Inn and at church. We cruised to Alaska together in May of 2007. We attended many senior events together.  He encouraged me. He prayed for me. He believed in me. Bob is rejoicing in Heaven, not because he was good, but because he accepted Jesus as his savior. He finished his race, we will see him in Heaven. I added a few photos to the song sung by the Booth Brothers called Look For Me At Jesus' Feet. I pray we can follow his lead and can meet him when our race is over at the Feet of Jesus. Well done  Bob....See you on the other side.

Pastor Bob Adams, 75, of East Wenatchee, WA, went home to be with the Lord on March 9, 2016. He was an amazing husband to Marge, loving father to Julie and Vickiey; a strong brother and fun grandpa to Adam, Roman, and Amanda, and a tender uncle to many nieces and nephews. Pastor Bob and Marge owned Adams Construction for many years and continued to do so until retirement. However, he never hesitated to help a fellow friend consult on their building endeavor.
Every minute he lived was lived for the Lord: teaching and sharing God’s word was his passion.
A Celebration of Pastor Bob’s Life will take place at Wenatchee First Assembly on March 15, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Royal Family Kids Camp. Arrangements are by Telford’s Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.

Sail Away

 It was Feb 24th to March 3rd, 2013 when We flew to New Orleans and boarded the Norwegian Star. It was our 3rd time to cruise on Norwegian Star Ship, and they treated us great.  We visited Cozumel, Costa Maya, Belize, and Roatan as well as spending some extra time in New Orleans.  A video is not the same as a cruise, but it brings back so many good memories for us and makes me want to "Sail Away" again. Maybe I can just tip every other person this week and think I am on vacation again?

Remember Me- by Hamblin, Martin, Cash and Nelson

 I redid the song using all 4 singers who sang the song Remember Me. It starts with Stuart Hamblin who wrote/sang the song in 1954(the year Jan and I were born). Then a clip of Dean Martin from the 60's as well as Johnny Cash and ending with the song sung by Willie Nelson- who is the only one of those four who is still living.  I certainly welcome you comments on which singer you prefer.

Below is debated if Steve Jobs wrote the words or someone else- either way, it is much wisdom and worth the advice no matter who wrote it.

I can only take with me the memories that were strengthened by love.
This is the true wealth that will follow you; will accompany you, he will give strength and light to go ahead.
Love can travel thousands of miles and so life has no limits. Move to where you want to go. Strive to reach the goals you want to achieve. Everything is in your heart and in your hands.
What is the world's most expensive bed? The hospital bed.
You, if you have money, you can hire someone to drive your car, but you cannot hire someone to take your illness that is killing you.
Material things lost can be found. But one thing you can never find when you lose: life.
Whatever stage of life where we are right now, at the end we will have to face the day when the curtain falls.
